On August 15th Intrawest officially opened The Appalachian which is a condominium hotel located in their Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, New York. The Appalachian is the answer to all of those skiers that are looking for ski condos but cannot seem to find them close enough to the actual resorts to make them convenient. The grand opening of the condominium hotel allowed the first phase owners to move into their new homes, made official with ribbon cuttings and all!
Of course, the Appalachian does not offer just your typical ski condos, guests here will enjoy great packages and programs including outdoor fun and activities, romance packages, fall packages, and even wine tasting. While the doors have just opened for the first phase, reservations are already being taken for the next phase and they are coming in fast as more and more people hear about these great ski homes.
The Appalachian will boast 177 beautiful ski homes when the two phases are complete, with 77 of the homes planned to be completed by the fall. This wonderful condo hotel is designed with a very fun, classy Adirondack Grand Hotel theme. The hotel offers one and two bedroom ski condos, as well as those that have the very popular ski in and ski out feature. The hotel also offers underground parking and a list of amenities that is seemingly endless.
If the Appalachian is not for you, you may want to check out some of the properties that are being sold in the final stage of Black Creek Sanctuary. This is a neighborhood that offers one to three bedroom ski condos that are on beautiful lots and are pleasantly near the mountain to make skiing very convenient and a part of every day life. This is simply a beautiful place to live, no matter where you come from and what experience you have with skiing.
The whole Mountain Creek Resort is a great locale for those that live in New York City but want ski homes to get away to on long weekends during the winter. These ski homes are just 50 miles from the city and are a short commute from the whole tri-state area making this is the ski real estate to consider. Mountain Creek offers skiers 1,040 of vertical feet, 46 trails, 11 lifts and tens of millions of dollars in improvements to make this an outstanding place to ski. When you own one of the ski homes or ski condos in the area you will have no problem renting it out when you are not using it, or you will find that it is a good investment just for yourself. This area will only become more popular, so the investment now is a good idea.
